Board Meeting Minutes - March 18, 2021

Present:

  • Jenie Lahmann, President (Morrisson-Reeves Library, InSites Web Design)
  • Richard Peterson (Porter Advertising, LLC)
  • Tim Love (Reid Health)
  • Jane Holman (Executive Director, WayNet.org, Ex-Officio)

Absent:

  • Dakota Collins (Earlham College)
  • Lynn Knight, Secretary (Community Member)

Call to Order:

President Jenie Lahmann called the meeting to order at 12:06 p.m.

Old Business

Reviewed Minutes from the last meeting: January 21, 2021

Call for motion to approve by: Bridget Hazelbaker, Seconded by: Tim Love and approved by Board.

New Business:

Balance Sheet Review

Reviewed Balance Sheet. Call for motion to approve by: Bridget Hazelbaker, Seconded by: Richard Peterson and approved by Board.

Jenie Lahmann suggested taking advantage of our Wayne County Area Chamber of Commerce membership and sharing an update/advertisement featuring pictures and/or a specific area of WayNet.org in the Chamber's biweekly newsletter to take advantage of the free marketing.

Amazon Purchase Review

Jane requested an OK to purchase a new keyboard, using the credit we have built up in our Amazon account. All supported the idea and gave their support.

Wayne County Connection

Jenie gave an update on her new responsibilities as Producer for Wayne County Connection. It was agreed that WayNet will continue to support the show by including the guest list at https://www.waynet.org/cc/.

Always Relevant Digital

Jane requested approval to offer a free one-year basic membership to Always Relevant Digital for their assistance on a Google Search anomaly. Call for motion to approve by: Bridget Hazelbaker, seconded by: Tim Love and approved by Board.

Director's Report

Jane gave an update on pages updated, photos taken, meetings and other activities.

With no further business to discuss, meeting was adjourned at 12:37 p.m.

Did You Know?

Wilbur Wright, co-inventor of the airplane with his brother, Orville, attended school in Richmond, Indiana. His family moved to Dayton, Ohio in June of 1884 just before he would have received his diploma from Richmond High School. The diploma was awarded to him posthumously on April 16, 1994.
