American Legion, Harry Ray Post 65

The American Legion is a community service organization for veterans with nearly nearly 15,000 Posts worldwide. The American Legion's national headquarters is in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Harry Ray Post 65 is located at 109 North Sixth Street in Richmond, Indiana.

In 2019, Harry Ray Post 65 will sponsor its 75th Fourth of July fireworks show at Glen Miller Park.

Richmond was long known as "The Rose City" due to being home to Hills' Roses. Founder, E. G. Hill, was a gifted rose hybridizer, and introduced countless roses to the world. Hills' was once known as the largest grower of roses under glass. Hill Floral Products stopped growing roses in 1995.
