Located in the heart of the Midwest in east-central Indiana, along the Ohio border, Wayne County is home to 68,917 citizens. Its rich farmland and unique geography encouraged early settlers to make their home here as early as 1806. Today, agriculture remains an important factor in the local economy, and area businesses continue to benefit from Wayne County's central location to a large percentage of the population of the United States.
