Executive Director’s Report:

The Executive Director’s report is available on Waynet.

Marketing Committee Report:

Marketing Committee Chairperson, Gary Arndts, explained the committee's proposal to create a “How to Center” on the Waynet site. This allows Waynet members to create a “How to” article. Business members would get a link to their business at the bottom of the article. The intent is that the article explains how to do something. The article is not intended to be an advertisement. Jane will receive and review each contribution before it is posted on the Center. This will make another marketing tool available to members. Jane asked each Board member to submit an article in order to help her make sure that the Center is working properly. It is also important that the Center have content when it goes “public”. The Center is now available via a login and password for the Board.

The Center will be announced through a letter to members. A letter informing non-members will be sent at a future date.

Bill Pendley moved that the addition of the “How to Center” be approved. Seconded by Jodi Johnson. Motion carried.

Where Do We Go From Here?:

The following suggestions were made:

  • Outreach to the Chamber of Commerce and local realtors
  • Include a “New Residence” section on Waynet
  • Continue to use a number of picture—especially people
  • Consider links to recreation locations and service organizations
  • Continue to consider changes to the appearance of Waynet

Google Analysis Feature:

Jane demonstrated the Google Analytics feature on the Google site. Jane is using the feature to access enhanced statistical information about the Waynet site.

Jane thanked Mark Stosberg for his recent help in upgrading the Waynet Laptop.

Jodi recently spoke about Waynet at the New Day Kiwanis Club meeting in Cambridge City. She distributed information and postcards featuring the uses of Waynet.

Meeting adjourned.

Respectfully submitted,

Jodi Johnson
