Executive Board Meeting
12:00 Noon - Call to order - Chris Hardie presiding
Minutes of the previous meetings, July 25, 2002 and October 2, 2002 (annual meeting) were approved as presented.
There was a discussion on the impact of fee waivers. With 26 waivers previously approved by the board, it was decided to evaluate our policy. There currently is one application under consideration.
The Balance Sheet for 2002 was reviewed with year-to-date income ahead of expenses. See Balance Sheet for details.
E. Thomas Kemp suggested that in-kind value could be shown in the budget and would be a valuable marketing tool.
Jane Holman presented the Executive Director's Report. She said the grant proposal about "Artists of Wayne County" had been turned down by the Wayne County Foundation. Tom Kirk said it would be resubmitted in time for the February awards. See Executive Director's Report for details.
Chris Hardie presented ways WayNet could change its structure to remain viable. It was consensus of the Executive Board to have the Executive Committee further study the issues and bring proposals back to the board.
The meeting adjourned at 1 PM. The next meeting is scheduled for January 16, 2003, at 12 Noon at Richmond Power & Light (Lunch at 11:30 AM).
