Advertising/Marketing

Displayed WayNet.org banner at entrance of Wayne County 4-H Fair.
Continuing 6 month advertising agreement with the Palladium-Item.
Running ads on KICKS96 in August/September/October. (KICKS96 did renew membership.)
Invited to speak to Wayne County Genealogical Society and the Richmond Art Club.
Lots of one on one discussions to gain new members listed above.

Achievements & Projects for 3rd Quarter

Managed WayNet People's Choice and Web Awards
Prepared for Annual Meeting - prizes, board members, etc.
Made a report to Carol Smyth to give to the Foundation board on the progress for our joint grant.
Website Maintenance:
- Review and update page links & calendar events, as necessary. Take photos.
- Archived and adjusted Talk of the Town to make conversations fit in more discernable categories.
- Add calendar items as needed - still quite time-consuming.
- FrontPage crashed - had obtain software from IU East and reinstall.
- Upgrade caused a few issues - deleted and re-created email filters.
- Backing up of web site - very time consuming.

Log Analysis
Ran weekly and posted on the Members Only page. Monthly figures are now being posted on the Top Twenty page. We are currently averaging 44,357 user sessions per month. Web page views (hits) are averaging 131,839.

3rd Quarter 2003 - Quarterly figures for user sessions decreased by 3%. Page views decreased by 1%. User sessions rose by 26% over the same time period last year.

2002 Yearly Figures show an outstanding 413,253 users requesting 1,291,024 pages as compared to 260,875 users requesting 930,554 pages in 2000. This is a 58% increase in users and a 39% increase in page views over 2001. Our actual figures may have been slightly higher than this due to logging problems in January of 2001.
