Bike Racing
The Rose City BMX Club holds their races at the BMX track at Freeman Park. (State Road 227, north of 12th Street). The schedule for this summer kicks off Wednesday, May 3rd at 6:30 p.m. followed with a doubleheader race on Memorial Day, Monday, May 29th and continues on Wednesdays through September.

Johnny Ringo Days
Saturday, May 6th - Greens Fork, Indiana will celebrate the history of the wild west by highlighting Greens Fork native, Johnny Ringo, who was a nemesis of Wyatt Earp in Tombstone, Arizona.  Community events include a Motorcycle Poker Run, parade, bike show, shooting demonstrations, old west skits, vendors, book signing, music and food.

Safety Village Open House
If you know a youngster that will be in Kindergarten or 1st grade next fall, be sure to let them know about the Safety Village Open House on Saturday, May 6th from 9 to 11 a.m.  There will be lots of activities for families as well as the opportunity to tour Safety Village, sponsored by the Kiwanis Club of Richmond.

InConcert presents Mississippi Heat
InConcert is a a collaborative group of local non-profits bringing regional entertainment to Richmond. Organizations include: Starr-Gennett Foundation, YWCA of Richmond, Centerville Youth League, Hub Etchison Youth Football League, Richmond Football Parents Club, Boys & Girls Club of Wayne County, The Healing Place and Noah's Ark Day Care Center. All participating InConcert members get to keep 100% of the money from the tickets they sell if enough sponsorship is garnered to cover the overhead.
