Rock Around the Clock for the Cope Environmental Center
The sixth grade class of Mrs. Hasecoster and Mrs. Reagan is holding a
24-hour Rock-a-Thon to raise awareness and money for the Cope Environmental
Center. The Cope Environmental Center is a non-profit natural resources
organization in Centerville, Indiana. The center is dedicated to educating
the public on the wise use of natural resources.

The Centerville Elementary students have been extensively studying the
wetlands and ponds of the center. They have been gathering data to help the
center determine the water quality of the new wetlands and how this may
affect the existing ponds. The class is hoping to give back to the Center
for all of the fun and educational experiences they have had.

The sixth graders will be rocking in rocking chairs for 24 consecutive
hours. The 24-hour Rock-a-Thon will be held from March 31 at 6:00 p.m. to
April 1 at 6:00 p.m. Pledges will be accepted for each hour the students
rock. Those interested in sending donations may do so. Send checks to the
“Centerville Elementary Rock-a-Thon”, c/o Susy Hasecoster, Centerville
Elementary School, 200 West South Street, Centerville, Indiana 47330.
Questions: call Mrs. Hasecoster at 765.855.5132.
