Tiernan Center - Richmond High School

According to Wikipedia, Richmond High School's gymnasium is the 4th largest high school gym in the United States. It has a capacity of 8,100. The facility was named the "Tiernan Center" in honor of long-time RHS educator, Richard "Dick" Tiernan. It opened in 1985.

Did You Know?

Wayne County was formed in 1811. It was named for General "Mad" Anthony Wayne, who was an officer during the Revolutionary War. Wayne is mainly remembered for his service in the 1790's in the Northwest Indian War, which included many actions in Indiana and Ohio.
