Gaar Mansion

Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the Gaar Mansion was built in 1876 for Abram and Agnes Gaar. Jonas Gaar and his sons, Abram and John Milton Gaar, and Jonas' son-in-law, William G. Scott were founders of Gaar-Scott and Company, the leading manufacturer of threshing machines and steam engines from 1842 to 1911.

This Second Empire style mansion is open for tours of 10 or more by appointment and may be rented for special events.  For more information or to arrange a tour, call (765) 966-1262.
