Kiwanis Safety Village
Photo taken July 12, 2004

The local Richmond Noon Kiwanis, in cooperation with local businesses, have created a permanent home where children can receive training in many safety issues in addition to traffic, including fire, water, and electrical.

Kid-sized streets, stop signs, stop lights, buildings and sidewalks make learning how to cross the street safely fun.  Power wheels vehicles enhance the enjoyment of practicing the rules they have learned during their class time.

The Kiwanis Safety Village is one of only two permanent "safety villages" in Indiana.
