Charles Lucien Newcomb
(1866-1918)
Detail of mural on the 2nd floor of the Odd Fellows Hall, now the
Nettle Creek Valley Museum
at 96 1/2 East Main Street in Hagerstown, Indiana.

The mural was painted by local artist, Charles Newcomb in 1913.  The mural, which extends around the room above the wainscoting, seems to have been inspired by Maxfield Parrish's mural "Girls Dining Room" in the Curtis Building in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
