Overbeck House

This home, one block from the National Road in Cambridge City, Indiana, was once the home and studio of the famous Overbeck Sisters.   Located at 520 East Church Street in Cambridge City, Indiana, the home has been restored by Jerry and Phyllis Mattheis.   Tours of the home are by appointment only.  (765) 478-5993

The historical marker along U.S. 40 reads:
Overbeck House and Studio
Indiana's first art pottery, a nationally-recognized product of the American Arts & Crafts Movement was produced 1911-1955 by the Overbeck Sisters.  Their 1830's Federal-style house, one block south, was listed in the National Register of Historic Places. 1976.
