Board Meeting Minutes - March 20, 2014

Present:

  • Jane Holman (Executive Director, WayNet.org, Ex-Officio)

Absent:

Call to Order:

President Jenie Lahmann called the meeting to order at 12:06 pm at Cope Environmental Center's Education Building. She invited Aubrey Blue to share a bit about Cope Environmental Center's mission. Aubrey also shared information about their new Homespun Workshops for adults that are being offered monthly in 2014.

Old Business:

The meeting minutes from the January 16, 2014 meeting were presented for approval. Tim Love motioned approval of the minutes as presented, seconded by Gary Arndts and the motion passed.

New Business:

The balance sheet was distributed and discussed, showing financials for January and February 2014. She noted specifics about the "other income" listed for February. Aubrey Blue motioned approval of the financials. David Burton seconded the motion and it passed unanimously.

Proposal Update

Jane gave an update on the discussion surrounding the proposal for an update to the software that runs the "News Release" page. No decison was needed at this time, as a motion was already approved at the November 21, 2013 meeting.

Executive Director's Report

Jane Holman delivered the Executive Director's Report and numerous topics were discussed, including information on membership changes, an update on the Wayne County Connections show and technical updates to the website.

Adjournment:

Being no further business, Rob Tidrow motioned to adjourn the meeting, seconded by Gary Arndts and the meeting adjourned at 12:47 p.m.
