    • The WC Connections page received 101 visits in September and 115 in October.
  • Twitter - we now have 948 followers. Have sent 1,936 tweets.
  • Facebook - 603 people "like" our Facebook page (5% increase), 70% are female, 29% male. 58% are from Richmond, 69.3% are from Wayne County.

  • Website Overhaul - continue transferring pages to new layout, reorganize folders and files as appropriate, setup new pages as required for new layout, add auto file transfers to .htaccess as required.

These figures were created by the AWStats program offered online by our web host.  We also track usage with Google Analytics.

Monthly figures are posted on the Top Twenty page.  Current average is 51,510 user sessions per month. Web page views are averaging 221,758. These numbers have risen slightly. Our core local pages have remained strong and we have seen an uptake in new hits to additional pages, thanks to our redesign. Overall, our sponsors have gained much greater value, due to the exposure of their logos on each page sidebar in the new layout.

3rd Quarter 2013 - Quarterly figures for user sessions increased by 5% from 2nd Quarter and were up 20% over the same time period last year, the largest increase in this figure since 2008. Page views held steady in the 3rd quarter, with a 7% decrease over the same time period in 2012. This is a more volatile figure and often sees peaks and dips.

2012 Yearly Figures show a decrease to 557,619 users but an increase to 2,817,973 page views as compared to 604,177 users requesting 2,703,864 pages in 2011.  This is a 8% decrease in users and a 4% increase in page views over 2011, again reflecting the change in usage of our turtle page.

Did You Know?

Wayne County was formed in 1811. It was named for General "Mad" Anthony Wayne, who was an officer during the Revolutionary War. Wayne is mainly remembered for his service in the 1790's in the Northwest Indian War, which included many actions in Indiana and Ohio.
