Log Analysis (as of October 31, 2010)
These figures were created by the AWStats program offered online by our web host.  We also track usage with Google Analytics.

Monthly figures are posted on the Top Twenty page.  Current average is 59,226  user sessions per month.  Web page views are averaging 268,268.   Users sessions increased 41% in September and experienced a 19% decrease in October.  This wild swing is directly attributable to a popular webpage linking to our turtle image.  There are ways to prevent this linkage, but the cure may be worse than the problem, in that it also prevents Google and other search engines from showing our image in their image search.  If anyone has a fix for this, please let me know. Page views increased 18% in September and dipped 8% in October, for an overall gain.

3rd Quarter 2010 - Quarterly figures for user sessions increased 1% from 2nd Quarter.  Page views decreased  by 1% in the third quarter following a slight 3% decrease in the 2nd Quarter of 2010.

2009 Yearly Figures show a 7% decrease to 723,298 users requesting 2,781,969 pages as compared to 780,140 users requesting 1,960,314 pages in 2008.  This is a 7% decrease in users and a 42% increase in page views over 2008.

2008 = 780,140  2009 = 723,298

2008 = 1,960,314  2009 = 2,781,969
