Continue ads on radio Kicks96 - once per week - prior to sports in the morning.  Will run through April. Begin 30 second ads, 2 every other day, on 101.3 during morning drive time.  Ran ad in Pal-Item on New Year's Day and in the Chamber insert on January 24th. 

On-going campaign to receive links from as many other sites as possible.  Often simply a matter of emailing the owner of the page to tell them about ours.  Continue to submit to search engines and directories.   Can't seem to get Yahoo to put us on the Richmond, Indiana page. We are listed under Wayne County and Levi Coffin.  Our page on Centerville was recently added also.

We received a front page article on Saturday, November 28 regarding WayNet no longer having the Access Indiana grant.  Some I've talked to are worried that their money invested will be wasted...but most are stirred to become members to help support our organization.

Submitted an application for WayNet to be considered for the Chamber of Commerce's Outstanding Not-for-Profit organization in hopes of some "free press".

Log Analysis
Ran weekly and posted on the Members Only page.  Weekly averages are1300 visitors and 3300  hits. December's figures went down slightly due to the holidays and 2 days that the log was incorrect - although the site was being accessed successfully..  Fourth quarter figures are quite impressive with 43% increase in user sessions and 22% increase in hits.  November was very strong and January will be also...the snowstorm gave people a reason to spend time on their computer!

• Create ad for Gymnastics Meets (3- 1/4 page ad's for $50 - will reach both in town and out of town families.)  I never saw a bill or a copy of the program however.
• Gather votes and file papers for changes in our Articles of Incorporation so that we can receive our not-for-profit status from the State of Indiana
• Created a free page for not-for-profit Big Brothers Big Sisters - who have now joined as Expanded Members
• Create web template for retail/lodging/and restaurants (Commerce Package).  Made first sale last week - Bowers Building & Remodeling.
• Hired Summersault to give December seminar - cheap training for me...new voice for our members.  I did our January one.  Summersault is going to give the February seminar.
• Added a page to be able to review the previous pictures posted on our home page.   Will add the past month's pictures at the end of the month. 
• Participated in the Information Technology Grant Committee for Richmond Community Schools.
• Updated approx. half of the WayNet site in anticipation of our new "gold" and "platinum" members.  Changing the internal set-up so that it's easy to add information across the site by only changing one page.

Good News:

Lannie at Wayne County Foundation says the Rose Garden received it's first booking for '99 - due to the web page on WayNet! (Nov.28)

On-Going Projects for the coming month

• Sales calls
• Continue to distribute flyers.
• Begin work on a "treasure hunt" for teachers to use.
• Work with schools to create a student-run "community seminar" to teach adults to use the Internet/WayNet specifically.
• Continue to look at alternative funding sources.
• Tie up Not-for-Profit status!
• Prepare letter for distribution to Chamber members touting benefits of Waynet membership.
