Named one of the top twenty historical attractions in the nation by the History Channel, the Levi Coffin House in Fountain City will show you how Levi and Catharine Coffin helped more than 2,000 fugitive slaves escape to freedom via the Underground Railroad.

The Richmond Art Museum is a fine art museum with a nationally respected permanent collection of American Impressionists, Taos School, the Hoosier Group, the Richmond School and other regional artists, including William Merritt Chase. They also host a variety of changing exhibits throughout the year.

Called a mini-Smithsonian, the Wayne County Historical Museum will entrance you with an amazing array of artifacts from around the world, including an Egyptian Mummmy, Samuri warrior armor, native American artifacts, a huge transportation collection and a eye-widening variety of local history stories.

Old Metamora - explore an 1838 canal town, complete with a working grist mill and a fascinating aqueduct where the canal travels over the river!

Whitewater Valley Railroad - operates historically significant vintage railroad equipment on a 32 mile scenic trip from Connersville to Metamora, where you'll see a historic canal town.
