I think we need a few more Tom Raper billboards (sorry, "off-premise signs") along the I-70 corridor. There are several locations where you can still see livestock, trees or other natural scenes (e.g., the sky) from the roadway. If we're to contend for the title of "Most Grotesquely Ad-Blighted Stretch of U.S. Interstate (Indiana)", those last views of countryside have just GOT to go.
Speaking of the Tom Raper signs, why are they there? I thought Lady Bird Johnson successfully fought to have most signs taken off highways during the 60's. It it like Daylight Savings Time, "don't apply here in Indiana? They really are a blight and don't fit the image of a store that sells items to get one outside into nature.
I Agree The Signs are at time a (EYE-SORE),
Yet, at the same time, Do we not have the right to advertise? Our Goverment officals Controls
just (how many signs) are put up don't they?
I also agree, that going into Wayne County is
TOM RAPPER (HEAVEN)..I Guess everyone needs to know where it is, and what richmond has to offer? It would be nice to View More of the ( Pretty Country Side ). Mybe a sign of ( WELCOME TO RICHMOND,(with Flowers, would be nice..
