The best restaurant in Richmond is by far the east side El Rodeo! These guys are real! And while they haven't yet gotten to the level of the Chicago based gourmet restuarant: the Frontera Grill (notably the best Mexican Restuarant in the USA owned and operated by Rick and Deann Bayless, authors of the definitive book on the subject; Authentic Mexican; Regional Cooking from the Heart of Mexico) ) they have continuously improved their menu, preparation, ingredients and service. Is there room for improvement, sure, this isn't religion after all! And, while it may be popular to serve steaks in Mexico which have the look and chew of beef jerky, here a different aesthetic is usually desired, how about tender/juicy/rare? All things considered however, this is still the best Richmond offers.I hope the spirit of Mexico flourishes here as it has whereever folks get a taste of these and other marvelous authentic Mexican dishes!
charlie's coffee bar and gallery is a good place to eat. you can check out their menu at the new web site (www.charliescoffee.com).
I like Rax!!! It is the best place to eat!
I like Bob Evans and Garfields but would like to have an OLIVE GARDEN.... OLIVE GARDEN is my favorite
I think the best overlooked pizza place in Richmond is Joe's Pizza on North E. The resturant is wonderfully decorated and the live music on the weekends is a treat we don't have enough of in Richmond! Joe is friendly and the food is a taste from the past, when pizza was real and not mass made across the counrty by big chains! Stop in and tell Joe Hello I am sure he will treat you right, he has always treated us right anyways!
