Parents' Coalition for Literacy

As a coalition, we believe that the responsibility for seeing that all children become readers is shared by the entire community.

Reading is essential for success as a citizen, as a productive member of society, and as a fulfilled individual.

We are advocates for all programs and policies that promote literacy for all.

We help others learn about:

• how reading difficulties affect every aspect of our community life.

• how reading difficulties can be prevented.

• how children who are struggling with reading can be helped.
