As you look back over the past century, which Wayne County weather events stand out most in your memory?

Mine has to be the freak snowstorm we received in April of 1974. I was a senior at Northeastern that year and remember a few flakes as we boarded the bus in the morning. By noon, it was so heavy and deep, they couldn't get the buses through it! I was lucky enough to catch a ride to Fountain City to the home of a friend for the night, but my 3 sisters who were in grade school at Whitewater had to spend the night at school. I'm sure the teachers remember that evening VERY WELL!

What weather memories do you have?
