Speaking as one who moved away from the state and then returned, I can confirm that a great tenderloin is one of the unique benefits of living in Indiana.
My current local favorite is made by the fine folks at Hilltop Drive-In on the far west side of Cambridge City. It brings to mind the huge tenderloins that we used to get at the Penguin Drive-In....more tenderloin than bun. Perfect!
The Indianapolis Monthly magazine did a feature article on this very subject this past summer - maybe in August or September? Does anyone recall if any of the places mentioned shipped to homesick Hoosiers?
